The Central Pennsylvania Humane Society has a dedicated staff of 15-20 full and part-time professionals.

CPHS Wellness Clinic - Canine Services

Our staff includes:

  • Animal Technicians
  • Adoption Counselors
  • Humane Officers
  • Workers who clean, groom, and care for the animals during their stay

CPHS StaffOur Executive Director

Mary Anslinger, Executive Director for the Central PA Humane Society, served on the CPHS Board of Directors for three years, making countless contributions to the work of the Shelter.

As a CPHS Volunteer for over four years, Mary cleaned cages, assisted with fund raising events, dealing with the public, writing grants, and pitching in whenever help was needed.

Mary and her husband Chris, live in Tyrone, PA along with their dog, Lita. When asked why she took the job, Mary replied, "I've always wanted to make a difference in the lives of the animals here at the shelter, and this was my chance. I didn't want to let this opportunity pass me by". The staff and the animals here at the Shelter are happy to have you join us!
