It was Deju Vu…..all over again!:). Except this time the donations to win individual calendar months soared! Our “Picture Perfect Pet” calendar contest may have drawn fewer contestants this year (80) and had 59 actually turning in collections ….but the amounts were impressive! And for the second year running, our “top dog” was Pugsley (again!) owned by Tracey Zerby & Kevin Kunsman of Hollidaysburg. Last year Tracy & her pooch captured first place honors by collection a little over $1,300. This year she told us she “wasn’t taking any chances.” She turned in an astounding $3,578 to easily outdistance all other entries with another first place win!. We greatly appreciate all those who took part in the campaign and they can be proud that their work has helped set another fundraiser record for CPHS! Our final total was just over $19,500 (outdistancing last years collections by more than $3,000!) and after selling the calendars, it should no doubt become our single biggest fundraiser (for the second year running!). Calendars will be available sometime in September and there’s no need to “reserve” them…..we’ll have plenty!:) Thanks again to all who took part….especially our excellent photographers, and the folks who worked so hard to collect all those “votes” (donations) on behalf of their pets!
