Membership
Membership Matters! Did you know that our Shelter receives no regular funding from any state, federal, or local agency?
We exist only because of the funding derived from community donations and participation in our fund raising efforts. Every year, our little shelter on 1837 E. Pleasant Valley Blvd. , Altoona, receives over 5, 000 animals. We can only house about 100 at a time, so it is quite a challenge. We play an important part in our community, as…if we were not here, where would these animals go?
We need your help! Please join us and become a member! Memberships start at only $10 per year and help to defray the cost of operations for the shelter. They also help us keep in closer contact with fellow animal lovers in our community.

Helping Homeless Animals: You have the great feeling of knowing that you are part of an organization that is helping homeless animals.
CPHS Newsletter: You will receive our quarterly newsletter filled with educational articles and the latest news on the happenings at CPHS.

- 10% off all purchases at Fresh Bark, (our Thrift Shop across the street from the shelter)
- 10% off all pet adoptions
- 10% off all flea preventive products

- Invitation to quarterly Pet Education classes held at CPHS
- Annual Pet Calendar (regularly $7, only $5 for member)

- Junior Membership (Student under 18): $10.00
- Adult Membership: $20.00
- Family Membership: $30.00
- Senior Membership (Over 60): $15.00
- Lifetime Membership: $250.00
Corporate Fees
- Silver: $250.00
- Gold: $500.00
- Platinum: $1000.00
